SEGMENT 1 INTRODUCTION.
1.Could you Guys please provide a quick self-introduction for the community?
Umberto | @Kryptomon,
Yes sure — so again Hello everyone — I’m Umberto the CEO an Founder of Kryptomon :) I’m 30 and like most of my peers I’ve grew up playing with Pokémon and I would say this is the main reason I’ve decided to launch this company 💪 I’ve been a tech entrepreneur for most of my career when I’ve founded the first company at the age of 19, that wasn’t a success, but it was useful to learn a lot of lessons so to say, in what to do and what not when launching a new product and company. Before starting Kryptomon I’ve worked as Venture Builder for the biggest FMCG companies in the world — what I was doing was creating and launching new product for them
Pokémon and gaming it always been my passions, I still playing Pokémon right now actually. I’ve been in the crypto space since I’ve bought my first btc at 3$ in 2011 — so therefore I was able to follow the entire crypto market growing from nothing to where is it right now. And last year all the dots connected, when I realized the potential that NFT could have if used properly as technology for improve game mechanics and here we are :)
2.Can you briefly introduce the project KRYPTOMON what are some of the utilities of $KMON ? How do you think you stand out among the competitors if there are any?
So as you mentioned Kryptomon is a game — our main objective is to recreate the old fashioned Pokémon game, but with a more mature and esport driven game design. And make it more real thx to the use of NFT and tokens, cause finally we do move from ingame items to ingame assets, where player can capitalize all those hours and money spent in the game into a real digital assets with a real monetary value — this is why we do believe NFT and Token can be the bigges evolution of gaming since years
The $KMON then is the ingame currency — every game as a currency either they are gems, coins, fifa points or whatever. What we did is to use an ERC20 token as currency for the game. So the KMON is needed to buy lootboxes, breed, buy ticket to participate in the pvp tournaments and then also our rewards are paid out in KMON
As I said take any other game economy model, and change the gems with KMON and you understand the utility of it :)
To answer to your second question , our main differentiator I think our focus on the game. Since the beginning we called Kryptomon a Play AND earn game and not a play TO earn. Kryptomon is a game and it’s main objective is to make ppl having fun — this is what games are meant to
I mean for us all the entire P2E was a completely no sense — in the last year it looked like the only things that games should focus on is to let ppl make money, once instead as a gamer I did only spent money on games, never earned a single cent, but because they were giving me great time
That’s why we called it P&E
In our game you don’t earn KMON like we are printing money from thin air — nope — you really need to work for them, and most of the time the rewards could also not being that great. Because we built a circular economy. What we do is revenue share, every week we make X amount of money in revenues, big chunk of those revenues then are sent back to players that completed the quests or tasks where they can earn KMON
So it’s easy, if last week we made 1,000$ and only 10 players competed the challenge we do payout 10$ eache
But if we made 1,000$ and 1,000 players completed the challenge then we pay out 1$ each
And if don’t make revenue, well no KMON rewards
But this is a sustainable and circular economy, which together our focus on building a great game is our main differentiator. Indeed if you look what happened to most of the P2E that started with us, they died we are still here :)
3.Can you share the achievements the team has made so far ? what are the major achievements that KRYPTOMON is yet to achieve . If possible also share your roadmap.
Sure — so Kryptomon was founded 1 year and a month ago and during this period we had a lot of initial achievements
First of all we went from a team of 1 (me) to a team of 36 ppl
Our community grew from 0 to more than 200,000 ppl across channels
We released the first mvp of the game the tamagotchi part and we have been able to build the foundation of the game and in the upcoming 2 quarters we will release respectively:
1) Practice mode battle
2) PVP battle a friend
3) PVE Story mode
4) PVP Battle league
5) PVP Tournaments
On top of that soon the game will be available on the google play store to be download as app on any android device (iOS is a little bit more tricky, but the app is ready also)
We did 3 super successful NFTsales, 2 times with BinanceNFT and 1 with Crypto. com — all sold out in less than a second
And last, but not least, we closed a series A equity round of $10MLN — bringing the company valuation to 50mln dollar, with 2 Silicon Valley VCs (early investors in companies like Discord or Patreon) and a mobile public listed gaming company :)
4.Could you share a bit about security and also what benefits you provide to incentives users choosing your platform?
Well so for the security reason I guess Chris our cto is the best person to ask, but all our smart contract have been audited of course and for taking extra security we try to not creating too much custom stuff and comply with the industry standard as much as we can, on top of that for example the game and the chain are yes linked together, but in read only mode so therefore even if someone hack your email and password to enter in the game they can only play like you, but they can’t touch your assets
The incentives we give? I think the most important FUN and challenge as I mentioned we are not printing money from thin air and promise 30% APY just for catch users knowing this is not gonna be sustainable- we are building a game, FUN and CHALLENGE should be the main incentives, then on top of the cake you can get some KMON coin back, or making money via the breeding or the pvp tournaments 🏟
5.What’s the total supply of the token ? Could you share a detailed tokenomics of mainnet token’s supply distribution?
We have minted 1bln $KMON — now I don’t remember our spread amongst the different allocations by heart ❤️ but it’s all public on our website :)
SEGMENT 2 TWITTER QUESTIONS.
1.Many investors who could not know about crypto market they are very important for mainstream adoption. How you are planning to attract non-crypto users towards your project? Is there any upcoming partnership that will brings non-crypto user and real-use case?
Well I guess about the use case is quite clear :) Regarding the non crypto adoption is a good question and it’s gonna be our main focus next year as soon as we completed the first full release of the game. Generally speaking the pillars are 2:
1) building a good game, if the reason why your players are playing your game because they wanna make money — well you’ll not go mainstream, gamers wants fun and engaging experience they don’t care of making money — this is why we are focused on the game
2) the UX as of today playing web3 games is hard — is too complicated, in order to attract mainstream users the web3 element should be seamless, players should be able to play even without notice the blockchain aspect of the game
Ah and last, but not least, consider a free to play mode where the new mainstream players can play even without an NFT (like a demo)
2.On Pet/Monsters games that are most of the time for mobile devices, the playability of such games are very limited because they always try to push users to purchase boosting objects or energy to keep going. Will this be the same case on Kryptomon NFT?
Kryptomon combine of course free to play mechanics — since gaming has been casualised, you have two kind of ppl: those with time and those without, usually those with time are those that are not spending a lot inside of the game cause they have time to invest, while those without time are catching up by buying premium items. It’s a game economy balance, the good thing is that Kryptomon at the end is a game of skills, so it doesn’t matter if you always buy the best items etc, if you suck as player you’re not gonna win. So free to play model yes, pay to win NO!
3.I am very interested in your project name so I want to invest but currently your project has no information about tokens which makes me wonder. Would you mind giving me an idea of the current total supply and where we can buy your tokens?
As mentioned you can find all the infos you need about our tokenomics on our website and infos about our supply on Coinmarketcap. Currently you can buy the $KMON on pancakeswap, on gate.io, on bybit or even on our website directly with your credit card :)
4.Finding investors has been difficult , keeping investors is even more difficult, so what strategy does you have enough to make investors trust and go a long way ?
Deliver and bring transparent — this is the only thing we need to do :)
5.Do you allow suggestions and feedback from the community? Are we allowed in decision making, do you put community into consideration?
Hell yeah! We do always share in advanced everything we are building with our community in order to collect their feedback and we have open transparent discussions together. For example instead of doing like many gaming company which is waiting 3/5 years building the game and then release at the end, we decided to release the game and features while we are building them, so we can collect feedbacks and ideas as soon as possible :)
SEGMENT 3 TELEGRAM LIVE.
Does your project have a local community for those who don’t understand english?
[In reply to Valerie Mills]
Yea! We have like 18 different localized community :) you can find the links in our main international group:)
It’s been a long time since TEAM mentioned “Land”.
So may I ask, how will the “Land Presale” work and are all Lands the same? Is there a “Land Presale” limit for a single buyer and is there a limit to how much Land is Presale?
[In reply to Hoàng Pháp]
Initially we were planning to drop it this year, but then we decided to focus more on the actual game development, so update on lands will arrive closer to the end of the year, there will be different level and property type — but not spoilers today :)
Q3-𝙈𝙧. 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙣,
Hello Umberto Sir!!
Why should I play Krytomon NFT game when the profit is considered to be less according to your statement. How will you attract the vast gamers and Why you think Kryptomon will rock the floor being a honest game without promising fake APY and so on?
[In reply to 𝙈𝙧. 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙣]
You got the point, you don’t attract gamers because you pay them, Minecraft sold 250mln copies, PUBG something like 80mln copies and you not making money directly from the game, maybe as a pro player or streamer, but not from the game. We are building a great game and luckily we are not reinventing the wheel — we are using core game mechanics that have been proven successful in other games :)
Does the Kryptomon project have Metaverse in mind for the future? What do you think of VR/AR technology, and how has it been used in your project?
[In reply to CHUKKY]
Yea we do, but tbh I think VR is far from being usable, we will implement first AR mechanics in our Treasure Hunt app :) while VR maybe we are studying something for the tournaments when viewer will be able to sit in the stadium and enjoy the matches — but first we need to transition to the 3D third person world :)
Umberto | @Kryptomon,
That has been my pleasure :) and we are waiting for you in the Kryptomon world! ❤️💪😎
